Electronics Engineer – Southampton  

£33,000 - £35,000 pa + benefits

A start up business, a spin-off from the University, with a fully working family of electronic products using a new technology is overwhelmed with enquiries from blue chip businesses (BT, Siemens, Alps, GE, Smiths, Water Companies, etc., etc. An able electronics engineer is needed to join a very talented team of two. 

Experience in some of the following areas would be valuable  

1. Analogue board / power supply design.

2. Embedded programming with microcontrollers.

3. Low power digital design.

4. Radio communications, with 802.15.4 experience a preference.

 Candidates should have the ability to: 

1. Understand and use degree level engineering mathematics.

2. Specify and maintain their own tool-chain.

3. Specify and operate their own test equipment.

 You will be experienced with analogue boards, embedded programming, RF and able to solve application problems. Degree level qualifications and intelligence are required, although flexibility and flair will be required. It is likely that you will be looking to make you second or third career move to an environment where your contribution will clearly count.
